HARD TIMES FOR CATHOLICISM IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF THE 21ST CENTURY

1. We are living through very hard times in the Catholic Church. The Second Vatican Ecumenical Council is ignored, contradicted or fought.
2. Some claim the tradition of the past as the solution without or against Pope Francis.
3. Others, against this “deformed traditionalism”, implant a “French-style” conciliar renewal, subverting and annihilating the evangelical radicalism.
4. Others, clinging to a reinvented “consecrated life”, propose an ecclesial life that is the very contradiction of “Lumen Gentium”.
5. To remain in evangelical radicalism, faithful to the Second Vatican Council and with a truly Christian life, is a heroic act, but Paul of Tarsus “who saw the Lord Jesus” alive and glorious, is a good path.
